@wewomenbookclub i fell HARD off the wagon people. HARD.

My kids have been off school since THURSDAY APRIL 13... and they went back TODAY. I didn't get to work out nearly as much as i wanted, so i counted steps instead, I didn't get to eat nearly as healthy as I wanted so i made sure I drank a lot of water.. I did to my gratitude lists each night!! but  I didn’t get to meditate at ALL.. Like AT.ALL. 4 kids in a house <<this big>> under foot all the time.. no. 

i tried to meditate before they got up..like at 4:45.. they found me. 

I tried to mediate at the end of the day and I feel asleep on the floor 

I tried to mediate in the car the one time i got out “alone” to target so i sat in the back of the parking lot and tired to mediate there.. and a COP came over to see if i was ok. (#truestory) 

so this morning.. the kids were GONE .. all of um to school BUH BYE-- i walked 5 miles, i lifted, and i went to sit down on the floor to mediate ... and i got about 2 minutes in and the FREAKIN cat thought it was a cozy place to come and sit.. so he jump into my lap.. scared the BBEEEGGEEESSS outta me... so that didn't work either. Tried again.. and closed the door...  GENIUS.. 

I am going to have to figure out this mediation thing before summer when they are all home for good... i would say id lock myself in the bathroom but that isn't an option EITHER!!!  how do you do it???

It’s not All About Eve tickets but a close second. I got this beautuful WE necklace from my husband. This will be a daily reminder of the principals I value🎄❤️ @gillianaofficial

Our girls were off of school today so my friend and i decided to take them into NYC for the ‘Not my President” day rally at Trump Tower for a lesson on civil disobedience --   We let them make their signs with what they wanted on them, and let them choose what shirts they wanted to wear. 

These girls never cease to amaze me. An hour bus ride in to NYC (and an hour home too) .. walked 25 blocks each way-- to and from port authority-- never ONCE complained..(at the end of the day MY step count was over 21,000 and god knows what theirs was with their teeny tiny legs)  

We met the most amazing people-- People of all religions, colors, beliefs all standing together talking, laughing and encouraging each other... AMAZING. My 8 year old at one point turned to me and said... “everyone is so nice mommy this is awesome!” --they talked to people around us at the rally, gave intelligent responses to questions when they were asked what they thought of Trump, and what their signs meant etc-- they were curious, respectful and engaged in what what going on.  

IT.WAS.FANTASTIC. Could not have been prouder. 

On the bus ride home.. they asked when we were doing it again. YES!
