So Dallas sportscaster Dale Hansen is retiring this week. His last broadcast will be this thursday, 9/2/21.

You may not be familiar with his name, but you've seen him. Several of his segments have gone viral on Tumblr, and other platforms. He's that old white sports guy who always speaks up about the injustices that people of color, queer folk, and women face. He's the one who uses the voice that his privilege gives him to speak for those who aren't being listened to.

Goodbye, Mr. Hansen. Thank you for your years of commentary, even if I don't like sports. Thank you for being one of the great ones.

Fort Worth police officer kills woman inside her own home, officials say

Fort Worth police officials said the officer saw a person inside the home through a window, perceived this as a threat, and fired one shot

It happened again.

Her name is Atatiana Jefferson, and she was inside her home playing video games with her nephew, and he shot through through the window.
