Strike averted for 3 year Contract- a "Tentative Agreement"
This nearly missed the mark. Wee hours past the deadline, WGA and AMPTP were still negotiating, albeit snippets from Variety, FiveThirty-Eight, and Deadline, WGA members encouraged writers not to get caught up in the propaganda. David Slack specifically, he knows. Law and Order guru. So by 1 AM deal became official. Primetime late night shows like SNL, Jimmy Kimmel (bless his heart and his little boy Billy) Seth Myers, Colbert, etc, their writers are protected. Insurance! What a relief!
