that idea that stopping people from learning things is a form of control (true!) in wha67 gives me many thoughts...especially with the paradox of qifrey being a teacher and encouraging his apprentices to learn about magic and the world but at the same time. you know. cough cough chapter 40, among many other things. Also that woman linking this to her toxic ex husband is HMM. oh the foreshadowings of orufrey's divorce are so real and they're not even married. + Tetia who feels it's unfair and who doesn't want to control non-witches this way by hiding them things that could help them. It's all so deliciously intriguing.
