now that im getting refreshed on witch hat, and i really do wish the anime would've taken the oportunity to expand on coco's original home at all, bc i think it feels just like some generic shōnen "mom/sister dies and cool protag goes off on an adventure for Revenge" or whatever type story. i genuinely forgot the mom was "alive", and not just dead and forgotten in the story
