I had an interesting interaction as a dog lover (surprising, I know).
I gave my dog to my friend to pet; he has cats. He said, "Uh, I don't know how to pet a dog. It's harder than petting a cat."
I told him that petting and playing with a dog is easier than doing so with a cat.
"I can't throw your dog to the bed to play with her."
"I can't rub your cat's belly."
