Lucid dreaming and cheating

I have been trying my hand at lucid dreaming. For those of you who are unaware of what lucid dreaming is, there are a variety of great resources. Basically it is awakening the consciousness during a dream thereby allowing yourself control over the dream. There are some techniques to being able to do this. First is to remember and journal your dreams (I'm kind of bad at this, because I remember a lot of my dreams I tend to not write them down. Bad I know!) Then you look for patterns in your dreams, things that tend to happen in all our dreams, I have yet to find something in most of my dreams. After that you start testing reality when you encounter that thing in real life. That way you will eventually test reality in the dream and realize it is a dream. (The internet resources tell you what types of reality checks there are, I look at my hands and count my fingers. In my dreams I usually have 7 on one hand). Once you realize it is a dream you have to fight to stay asleep and in the dream. If you successfully do that then you have control over your dream. Its pretty cool the few times I have done it.

Anyways, last night I was dreaming about being in this house with a YouTube personality and during the dream I kissed him. Shortly thereafter I realized I was dreaming because I would never do that. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 5 years now and I have a strict opinion on cheating. So the second I realized it couldn't be real because I would never cheat on my boyfriend I looked down at my hands to check reality. Well I didn't even need to because I just knew. I failed at staying in the dream. However I woke with a smile knowing myself well enough to know that was a dream and being absolutely sure of it. However this led me to my question. (Let me know what your opinion is because I find it interesting and I feel like my answer could be very different than others).

The premise for this is that in lucid dreaming your consciousness is awake and aware. Therefore if you make the decision to do something like cheat would that be considered cheating since unlike a regular dream you consciously decided to do it. What do you think? If you decide to interact in a way that you would consider cheating in real life with someone else while lucid dreaming is it cheating?
