Essential Art Terms Episode 6: Form and Composition
me trying to write poetry: this line looks pretty long better hit the enter button again
27
I fought for you along damp, cold nights
I sat for you ill, among loud, striped strangers
I fell asleep for you on endless buses
I heard the shit fall from the mouths of dead eyed dancers in the line for the bathroom
I heard it splat on my and the stench burnt my nostrils
I shattered my psyche and grew a huge pupa under each eye
I sat beneath your tears and drank from the mandible hill
I held tight through the madness and waited ‘til morning
But then morning Was and I didn't matter
Not to me, Apples, eye.
YOU are my I’s
You slept and filled my clavicle
You dreamt and kicked and sighed
You dressed for me and forgot the scars
You sat up with me and we snapped the stars
The words line up now.
But some nights it’s ‘I’ again
Sometimes you Cruise and I cry again
Say the number aloud, I know it’s second sight
But you look like one of Gods whores tonight
