“i should make more long posts about my thoughts on things/analysis/etc bc its fulfilling for me” vs doing that and being met with the honestly gutting embarrassment of “you get 1 note max even if you tag these posts because no one actually reads them no matter what you do”
#silly me forgetting that everything everywhere always is about popularity contests#and not really anything else.#me: i should post more to like start dialogue and maybe make some friends via posting#my posts: stagnate and do not get looked at#like blah blah yes i DO mostly post for myself but at the same time it does kinda blow to feel unseen in a pool of people#trying to idk get into the Social part of social media but no one wnanna talk to me. i dont even get asks unless i BEG profusely for them#i just dont understand. i see my mutuals getting ints this way all the time#what is it that im doing so wrong. am i just not a compatible personality? am i intimidating?
