7 Reasons Why Many Are Afraid to Develop Self-Awareness, Thus Continue Harming Their Relationships
What Is Self-reflection? Self-awareness self-knowledge and self-understanding . It's one's ability to be motivated and to look inwardly, on one hand. On the other, it is the ability to observe one's interactions with his partner on the other. This is based on a sincere willingness to understand his motivations and what drives him to undermine his relationships. He begins to notice things that he didn't know about and how they affect his relationships. He can begin to recognize their influence once he is more self-aware. He can be aware of what drives him to leave a relationship, act in a way that hurts him, or get in-and out too fast. How can relationships be affected by a lack of self-awareness? These factors are not conscious. He doesn't know how they affect his relationships with his partner. He will experience the same problems and conflicts in every relationship, each time feeling disappointed, and he won't accept responsibility for them. He will believe that if a relationship ends in discord or is not working out, it is because of his partner, pressure at work, or because he is too busy. If he doesn’t spend the time to become Self-Aware, which is getting to know himself better and identifying the factors that influence him and drive him towards sabotage his relationships, he will not be able change and will continue to harm one relationship after another. Why are so many afraid to develop self-awareness and stop sabotaging their relationships? Surprisingly, even though many people experience unhappy relationships repeatedly, few seek to become Self-Awareness and learn what causes them to fail. What's the fear? 1) Many people are afraid to think about the possibility of not knowing themselves enough. They believe they "know themselves" and they can behave in relationships. They are unable to see the truth and it is a negative reflection on their self-esteem. They reject the possibility of it, and deny or reject it because they are afraid to admit and accept it. 2) Some people are afraid to look inward. They may have attended workshops, read books or sought counseling regarding relationship issues. However, they were open to professional advice and tips on how to communicate with their partners. They are afraid to admit that there is something wrong with their relationship. They are more likely to believe it is in their communication and behavior patterns! 3) Some people are afraid to grow Self-Awareness because they don’t have the courage or the will to change. They are comfortable with "who" they are and don’t know what "who they will become" if they change. They are more comfortable staying with the "known and familiar", even when they are unhappy, than changing their lives. They fear that they may end up in a worse situation if they try to change the current situation. They feel threatened by a new uncertain situation and think: * "What happens if...?" * "What will happen if...?" * "Who knows what might happen?" 4) Some people are afraid to fail: "What if, even after learning self-awareness and attempting to improve my relationships?" How can I "justify" my actions? They are "protected" if they don't develop awareness. 5) Some people are afraid to learn self-awareness because they don't want to admit to their friends and themselves that they lack self awareness . They fear that such an admission might leave a negative impression on their friends, who may reject them, criticize and ridicule them, or even abandon them. 6) Some fear that they will become self-aware and stop being spontaneous, but will instead think and analyze all things. It is not "natural" to be self-aware. They don't realize that self-awareness is similar to driving a car. At first, one must be aware of every move. But, slowly and with practice, it becomes automatic. 7) Many are concerned that self-awareness can be a difficult process and take up too much of their time, which could lead to them losing other important things in life. Self-awareness is not an option, but a prerequisite for building a successful relationship. People who are afraid of developing Self-Awareness for any of these 7 reasons should understand that they need to be able to see the simple truth. They have likely spent time and effort to find a partner to build a fulfilling relationship. This includes having created a profile on dating sites, chatted with others, and even started a relationship. Unless they learn Self-Awareness. It is a worthwhile investment in their self-development and self-growth to learn Self-Awareness. Although it may seem like a long way to reach their goal, it will prove to be a short one. It will also help them understand what is causing them to fail in their relationship and how to fix it.
