Crowley's Mind Palace Adventure
Oswin/Ruby: [-follows Bela into the kitchen-]
The Trickster: Hm, I can think of a few things *goes to step closer though pauses, looking to bela and ruby, noting their expression* Hey... what's up?
Oswin/Ruby: -looks at Ruby and Bela- [-sees Oswin and Trick, then looks at Bela-] (This is weird. My two characters are meeting)
Bela Talbot: Do you know anything about fixing demons because my boss is kinda deadish in one of your bedrooms and I don't know what to do and fuck just help him okay
Oswin/Ruby: [What she said. -looks at Gabe-] -looks at Bela like what-
Oswin/Ruby: -says at the same time as Ruby- Who are you? [Who are you?]
Bela Talbot: Who cares MY BOSS IS DYING IF HE'S NOT ALREADY DEAD
The Trickster: *pauses a moment, smile fading then turns to oswin, speaking quickly* Stay here, we don't want to burn the house down *turns back to ruby and bela* where is he?
Oswin/Ruby: -says at the same time as Ruby- I asked first. -winks- [I asked first. -narrows eyes-]
Bela Talbot: First bedroom upstairs.
The Trickster: *nods, sprinting out of the kitchen and to the bedroom*
Oswin/Ruby: -rolls eyes- [-rolls eyes and follows Bela and Gabe-]
The Trickster: *pauses a moment, seeing Crowley in his bloodied mess*
Comatose Crowley: -arm dangling off the side of the bed, breathing shallow-
Comatose Crowley: -eyes rolled up into head-
Bela Talbot: Can you do anything? Or know anyone that can?
The Trickster: *eyes fixed on Crowley, speaking to bela* A little privacy for one
Bela Talbot: But he's -my- king...
Bela Talbot: *doesn't know anyone's an angel*
The Trickster: *whips around to bela, giving her a serious expression*
Bela Talbot: *gives trick an equally sharp expression*
The Trickster: *pauses a moment then smirks again* Sorry, can't have you getting in the way, catch ya later~ *snaps fingers poofing bela back to the main room*
Bela Talbot: Fucking... *demonic scream of frustration*
The Trickster: *turns back to Crowley, looking him over, waving his hand over him and clearing away the blood*
Comatose Crowley: -large amounts of congealed and fresh blood are removed from the area, there's a huge amount-
The Trickster: *steps closer once the blood is cleared away* Tsk, talk about a blood bath... *notices the bite marks with curiosity then checks his pulse*
Comatose Crowley: -Pulse is ragged and very weak-
The Trickster: *tries for healing*
Comatose Crowley: -physical wounds go away, but remains unconscious-
The Trickster: *pauses a moment then checks under Crowley’s eye lids* Helloooo? Anyone home?
Comatose Crowley: -eyes rolled up into sockets, exhales lightly-
The Trickster: *frowns a bit, giving Crowley a look then pulling on his cheeks* Nice try, wise guy, but I see through your little act
Comatose Crowley: -slumps down a bit-
Comatose Crowley: -head rolls onto shoulder, eyelids not closing-
The Trickster: *pauses a moment, seeing it's having no effect and giving Crowley a hard look, releasing his cheeks* I will do inappropriate things to you if you don't wake up...
Comatose Crowley: -falls back slightly onto bed, jaw opening and a little drool dribbling out of the corner of his mouth-
The Trickster: *narrows eyes on him for a long while, then realizes he's not faking it... shit.... shitshitshitshitshitshithitsihtihtihtshit; starts pacing the room*
Comatose Crowley: -Falls backwards onto bed, arm falling under him at an unnatural angle-
Comatose Crowley: -A little spit falls onto the pillow-
The Trickster: *pacing pacing pacing IDEA!... no... yes... well, I could but... glances to Crowley hesitantly before rearranging him properly so that he looks more comfortable* ... I really don't want to do this...
Comatose Crowley: -Head lolls onto his shoulder, spit now soaking into the fabric of his suit-
The Trickster: *gives Crowley a look, wiping the spit off on his sleeve then putting a finger on Crowley’s chin and closing his mouth* Ok... just... gotta keep calm... keep calm... *deep breathes*
Comatose Crowley: -breathing shallowly-
The Trickster: Ok... ok... just... dammit... *hesitates... IDEA! rubs hands together* Clear *puts hands on Crowley’s chest, zapping him*
Comatose Crowley: -jolts forward, then falls back onto bed-
The Trickster: *gives Crowley a hard look* Your mother was a hamster...
Comatose Crowley: -head rolls onto pillow-
Comatose Crowley: -my mum was your mum jerk-
The Trickster: *purses lips* Welp, I'm out of ideas... *sighing heavily, hesitating a long while before, putting on a determined face* Just remember you're the one that offered this in the first place *places hands on either side of Crowley’s temple, closing his eyes and focusing*
Comatose Crowley: -Blue screen of death flickering in his mind, just beyond that is a room-
The Trickster: *just looks at the blue screen... have you tried turning it off then on again... proceeds to the room curiously but cautiously*
Comatose Crowley: -The room is an old-fashioned professional office with dark polished mahogany walls and several bookshelves, with a desk at the front. A Hellhound lies underneath the desk, its eyes closed. Crowley sits behind the desk, which has a small turnip plant on it, a lamp, and several stack of papers. Behind him are several cabinets filled with papers. -
The Trickster: *looks around the room, sauntering in with a whistle* Wow, nice digs ya got in here huh?
Comatose Crowley: -something like this but with cabinets-
http://www.woodmeister.com/images/portImages/663fu...
Comatose Crowley: -Looks up-
Comatose Crowley: -Smiles- Oh, thank you. Yes, this is my office in the castle. Can I get a name, please?
The Trickster: *narrows eyes a bit suspiciously before smirking again* What? Don't tell you don't recognize me from my dashing good looks now
Comatose Crowley: -Shrugs- I just work here. Rules are rules. You need to state your name for the record.
The Trickster: *looks the Crowley look-alike over a moment* Bob... the name's Bob
Comatose Crowley: -Turns to cabinets- Bob...Bob? -Shuffles through them, looking through papers, draws one out- Crossroads deal? Wanted a promotion so his wife's medical bills for her cancer could be paid?
The Trickster: *pauses, blinking a couple times* Or, ya know, removing the cancer entirely would be great too
Comatose Crowley: -Looks at him sternly- Well, you didn't specify at the time. And I don't know how you got in here, but invading my mind isn't going to make me want to help you out.
The Trickster: Ah well uh... no actually, I'm not the one seeking help here rather I'm here to help... you *knowing smirk*
Comatose Crowley: Oh? And what are you going to help me with?
The Trickster: Well, if you hadn't already noticed, you were kinda swimming in your own little blood bath back in the real world
Comatose Crowley: Well, yes. I believe we're being shut down for some kind of purpose; I'm not sure what yet. The guys in the back don't tell me much- I just open the doors.
The Trickster: Hm... Shut down huh? Doesn't sound pretty. You won't mind if I go and have a look for myself, right?
Comatose Crowley: A random crossroads deal i made five years ago? Into my most sensitive and secret things? You're kidding, right?
The Trickster: Does it look like I'm kidding? It shouldn't be that bad though, I'll be in an out before you know it *smirks confidently*
Comatose Crowley: Absolutely not. I don't even know you.
The Trickster: Look, I was granted permission to come in here by the head honcho, and you don't want the head honcho on your ass now do ya?
Comatose Crowley: Exactly two people have permission to come in, and Random Ass Bob isn't one of them.
The Trickster: *quirks brow* Who's the two people?
Comatose Crowley: Sure, let me just tell you. -sarcastic-
The Trickster: *rolls eyes* Listen, I'm not as random as you may think, go ask Hersheys yourself *smirks again*
Comatose Crowley: I am Hersheys. And you're not Bob, are you?
The Trickster: *grins wide* Now you're starting to catch on, took ya long enough
Comatose Crowley: -Turns back to filing cabinets, searching through them-Hrmmm...Maybe you're not in the cabinets at all, if you use a nickname for me... -Turns back to sift through papers on desk-
The Trickster: Wow, maybe you need to get a little more organized there huh? *snickers lightly*
Comatose Crowley: Says the guy who lied to me about his identity. I'm going to ask again. Name? -Shuffles until he finds a particularly full paper, picks it up, narrowing eyes at it-
The Trickster: *quirks brow* Find something interesting there?
Comatose Crowley: Yes, I did. What is your name?
The Trickster: *pauses a moment before smirking* Loki
Comatose Crowley: Loki...does not call me Hersheys. And I barely know him too, and actually don't like him all that much so if I really thought you were him I'd tell you to fuck off right now.
The Trickster: *purses lip with an exasperated look before sighing lightly and shaking his head, looking down a moment before back up again, speaking in a low tone* Gabriel...
Comatose Crowley: -Glances down at sheet- Gabriel...Yes, Hersheys... what color were the towels I dried you off with in the bath? Sorry, just a security question.
The Trickster: *furrows brows a moment before laughing* How am I supposed to remember something like that? It's like picking a face out of a crowd of people I've only met once. Mind you, that's a LOT of people
Comatose Crowley: Well, I'll need some piece of information only you and I would know. Normally I wouldn't care, but Gabriel, if that's you, happens to be on the guest list.
The Trickster: *pauses a moment to think* He likes gardening and baking, even taught me a few things like how not to burn cookies
Comatose Crowley: -Glances down at sheet- yes, the second piece of information works. Off you go, then. -A door appears behind him-
The Trickster: *oh wow that was easy; turns to the door then back to Crowley and smiles with a mock salute* Thanks *proceeds through the door*
Comatose Crowley: No problem. -The room disappears, and is replaced by a much larger and more richly decorated room-
Comatose Crowley: -Crowley is sitting on a throne in a magnificent throne room. Light from outside drifts in and glints off the rich golden ornaments and red silks and mahogany wood of the decorations. He is surrounded by sickly, grey demonic and human shapes that are alternately begging him for things and trying to kill him just before he turns around and stops them. He kills them with an angel's sword, before his expression becomes sad. Castiel is there too, but he kind of hangs around.-
The Trickster: *eyes widen on the scene, looking around at all the grey figures first then seeing cas there, turning to look at Crowley again with uncertainty* Sorry to barge in on you like this, your /highness/ *snickers, staying where he is for now just in case*
Comatose Crowley: Castiel: "You're just a piece of shit demon, now give me all the things I want."
Comatose Crowley: Hunter #1: "Too evil to live. Too cowardly to just kill yourself and do humanity a favor."
Comatose Crowley: Hunter #2: "Unfeeling monster, unfit for a place among humanity."
Comatose Crowley: Demon #1: "You don't deserve the throne you sit on."
Comatose Crowley: Demon #1: "You should give me a promotion, I've done so much good work."
Comatose Crowley: Demon #2: "Give me what I want, satisfy my curiosity, explain everything you're doing to me because I don't trust your judgment."
Comatose Crowley: -Looks up at Gabe briefly, before distracted by another demon-
Comatose Crowley: Demon #3: "You're not even half the king Lucifer was."
The Trickster: *looks around at all the figures again, wavering a bit uncomfortably, nudging one away with his foot and shuffling a bit, glancing to Crowley again* Um... *rubs back of neck a bit before sighing lightly and gathering himself again, getting a bit closer* Hey there, uh... What's... going on?
Comatose Crowley: -Looks up at Gabe, obviously expecting some kind of insult before being begged for something he needs-
Comatose Crowley: Er. Hello.
Comatose Crowley: Hunter #2: "You don't have feelings, but I just figured out a way to use you. Can I have some help with this?"
Comatose Crowley: -Looks back at hunter- I...er...
The Trickster: *furrows brows a bit, finally noting Crowley’s expression before scowling a bit and marching over, kicking all the demon and hunters away from him* Bugger off ya whiney bunch ingrates!
Comatose Crowley: -The demons and humans scatter, staring at Gabriel before disappearing-
Comatose Crowley: -Obvious expression of relief- Thanks.
The Trickster: *gives them all a hard glare before huffing, straightening himself up again and looking to Crowley with a smirk* No problem *looks around the room now, finally taking in the scenery* I must say though, you have got some /fancy/ tastes.
Comatose Crowley: -Shrugs, looking around- I'm expected to. People don't really take me seriously until I shock and awe them. And anyway, I've developed a few habits over the centuries.
The Trickster: *looks back to Crowley* I suppose those habits come with the tirade of... *gestures to the now empty room* Whatever that was... *gives him a sincere look*
Comatose Crowley: People hating me and then deciding that I'm allowed to talk to them because I'm useful? Comes with the territory, but it does get a bit wearing after a while. There's really only so many times you can hear something before you start believing it.
The Trickster: Heh... don't I know it... But you know it's not true right? *pauses a moment to make sure he's got Crowley’s full attention* You're not just some... /thing/ that can be used and then tossed aside. Hell, you've probably saved more of our asses than we can count.
The Trickster: (this makes me think that while Crowley was going through the stone maze in Gabe's mind, there would be cravings on the walls of different messages like 'turn back' or 'you won't make it' blah blah blah, but then they'd just get progressively worst and more dagged with messages like 'monster', 'murderer', 'what even are you?' etc etc and the walls would just get dirtier and dear god i just need to stop myself right there)
Comatose Crowley: -Looks down- I guess. Thank you for that, it's nice to hear. It helps. -Gets up from throne- So I guess you want to move on then, right?
The Trickster: Whoa whoa whoa, hold up, why the rush, I don't think I'm quite down with you yet *smirks*
Comatose Crowley: -Blinks a few times- All right. -Sits back down-
The Trickster: Now then, repeat after me *clears throat* "I am a damn good sport."
Comatose Crowley: -Stares at him-"I am a damn good sport."
The Trickster: No, like you /mean/ it!
Comatose Crowley: I'd have to be persuaded that it's true, first.
The Trickster: Uh, well let me see, because it is *grins*
Comatose Crowley: Uh-huh. That's, uh, not a very convincing argument.
The Trickster: *exasperated sigh, over exaggerated eye roll* Do I really gotta spell it out for ya?
Comatose Crowley: In as much as an argument usually needs premises to get to a conclusion, I'd say yeah.
The Trickster: *gives him a look before holding up his hands, starting to count off on his fingers* You helped Belial and Andariel, you helped me with repairing Mary, Kady in general, keeping Meg in line as best you can *pauses to think* Probably saved Sam and Dean too... in your own way, hell, even a few from Lucifer himself. Michael and Sofiel and uh... Me... too... *sincere look* You've helped me, a /lot/... more than I can remember... *shuffles a bit, looking away from him, muttering incoherently*
Comatose Crowley: -Stares at him-... I...er...-clears throat-
The Trickster: That enough of an argument for ya? *smiles back at him genuinely*
Comatose Crowley: Yeah, all right, fine. You bastard. -smirks-
The Trickster: Now say it
Comatose Crowley: I'm a good sport. -This time there isn't a scowl on his face as he says it; he's smiling genuinely-
The Trickster: a DAMN good sport! *urging him*
Comatose Crowley: -Laughs- I'm a damn good sport.
The Trickster: Ya see! There ya go! *laughs with him* Oh and uh, one more thing
The Trickster: Repeat after me
Comatose Crowley: -Watches him, smiling-
The Trickster: "Gabriel is my favorite." *cheesy grin*
Comatose Crowley: -Rolls his eyes but laughs- Gabriel is definitely my favorite.
The Trickster: *raises brows, surprised he actually said it; hm, was expecting to get hit er something, especially for a comment like that; strikes a victory pose* Damn right I am! *beams*
Comatose Crowley: You know it's true, right? I mean, next to Zira no one's been there quite the same way you have. I mean...you bullshit a lot...but when it comes down to it I know I can rely on you. Usually/.
The Trickster: *looks back to Crowley with a bit of surprise again before smiling warmly* ... Thanks... ... Welp, I think my job here is done so where's the next level?
Comatose Crowley: -Gestures behind himself-
Comatose Crowley: -A door appears-
The Trickster: *looks around to the door then back to Crowley* Great thanks, and you keep repeating what I told you alright? *beams then proceeds to the door*
Comatose Crowley: Will do, Mon Capitan. -Grins-
The Trickster: *looks back and nods, opening the door and going through it*
Comatose Crowley: -The door opens to an outdoor setting, the sky above cloudy and grey, the temperature extremely chilly. A small city extends from the doorframe, a sidewalk making its way down a cold, dead-looking street.-
Comatose Crowley: -Frost covers the windows and doorframes and crystallizes on several dead human bodies that are lying exposed in the street-
Comatose Crowley: -The streets seem to be empty except for these human bodies-
The Trickster: *saunters casually down the middle of the street, stepping around the bodies though and looking around at all the decayed buildings, starts humming Bad Moon Rising with a smile*
Comatose Crowley: -A pack of small, bone thin human children make their way down the street-
Comatose Crowley: -Another child, too hungry to stand, lies on the sidewalk of the next corner-
Comatose Crowley: -The children go up to a door and knock on it but the door doesn't answer-
The Trickster: *pauses a moment, watching the children, keeps humming*
Comatose Crowley: -They babble amongst each other in Ukrainian before moving on to the next door-
Comatose Crowley: -The next door opens and an old woman comes out to see them-
Comatose Crowley: Children: [Ukrainian: Please! Miss, some bread, a scrap of food?]
Comatose Crowley: Woman: [Ukrainian: Why are you even here? You know we don't have anything. You’d better get out of here before they find you.]
The Trickster: *narrows eyes a bit curiously, looking around again, stops humming to listen*
Comatose Crowley: -The children stare at her before leaving to try the next door-
Comatose Crowley: -One of them stares hungrily at the child who can't move-
The Trickster: *glances to the children again, more wary now before continuing onward*
Comatose Crowley: -A small cart with several adults turns onto the street. The children spot it and flee; a few of them too hungry to really get away-
Comatose Crowley: -The adults chase after them, hauling a few of the kids onto the cart and locking them inside-
Comatose Crowley: -They ignore the dead bodies on the street-
The Trickster: *grimaces a bit, pausing again to watch, uncertain if he should help or not*
Comatose Crowley: -the children struggle in the cart, trying to get free, but too weak to actually get out-
Comatose Crowley: -One of the children not on the cart, once he's satisfied that the cart isn't going to get him, darts out onto the street to pick up the dying child and makes off with him-
The Trickster: *hesitates a moment before disregarding the happenings around him again and continuing onward down the street, smile now replaced with apprehension*
Comatose Crowley: -One of the children in the cart gives up and sits back, his head lolling to one side; a fly lands on his mouth but he's too weak to swat it away-
Comatose Crowley: -the rest of the children make their way to another house; this time it's Crowley who opens the door and peers down at them-
The Trickster: *stops in his tracks upon seeing Crowley, keeping his distance to watch for now, just in case*
Comatose Crowley: [Ukrainian: Dodged the cart, did you? Nicely done.]
Comatose Crowley: Children: [Ukrainian: Please, sir, we need to eat. Do you have anything you could give us? Just a little morsel.]
Comatose Crowley: -Frowns, then turns back inside- [Ukrainian: I'm sorry. I don't.]
Comatose Crowley: -The children turn away, disappointed-
The Trickster: *pauses a moment to think then ducks into an alleyway, taking off his coat*
Comatose Crowley: -The door to Crowley's house closes-
Comatose Crowley: -The children continue up the street-
The Trickster: *proceeds to roll around in the filth and ruffle up his shirt and hair before tying his coat around his waist, exiting the alleyway and knocking on Crowley’s door*
Comatose Crowley: -Opens the door, looks out- [Ukrainian: Oh, not more of you. You know that if you don't have a passport you're going to be taken, right? There's no point staying here.]
The Trickster: Whoa man, I know I'm dirty but I'm not unrecognizable, besides, I was just wondering if I could use your shower *smiles*
Comatose Crowley: -Stares at him- Gabe? What the Hell are you doing here? -Looks around, then moves to let him inside-Quickly, before they see you.
The Trickster: *strolls inside, looking around* Oh you know, just moseying along, ran into a trash can though, the trash can won *chuckles a bit*
Comatose Crowley: -The house is small and modest, decorated with eastern European style carved wood and folk art-
Comatose Crowley: -laughs weakly- Looks like it. Showers aren't going to be installed in this city for fifty years yet, though.
The Trickster: *looks back at Crowley, pausing a moment* Oh well that's kind... shoulda thought of that before I did this *looks at self with a bit of a frown before shrugging* Anyway, who do you mean by 'they'? And for that matter what's with all this foreigner stuff?
Comatose Crowley: The Kolkhoz, of course. The Soviet authorities. They're rounding up the farmers who've snuck into the city looking for bread, even though their harvests were fine this year. -Stares- What do you mean foreigner stuff?
The Trickster: *furrows brows a bit, looking around* Wait... what are you doing in Russia? er... /Soviet/ Russia for that matter *looks back to Crowley*
Comatose Crowley: We're in the Ukraine, actually. Kharkov. I'm here because this is my job. Greed, you know. Pain and torment, dear boy.
The Trickster: *furrows brows more then smirks* Oh, I see what this is now. Big bag Crowley coming to rein the torment on the less fortunate, oh look at me and all greediness. *folds arms*
Comatose Crowley: -Shrugs- Lucifer set me an assignment; I'm not exactly in a position to argue.
The Trickster: *pauses a moment, brows rising* ... Lucifer? *furrows brows again, giving Crowley a hard/confused look, going to say something but pauses... tries again but decides against it, shaking his head* /Lucifer/? You need to get with the times, you know you don't take orders from him anymore right?
Comatose Crowley: -Head tilt- Maybe. Some things...stick with me, though. Some memories won't go away.
Comatose Crowley: -A child outside collapses and a woman begins screaming in the next house-
The Trickster: *turns to the screaming then back to Crowley* You just gonna stand there and listen to that?
Comatose Crowley: This is the third time this week she's been raped by the authorities. She's starting to be too weak to fight them anymore. The hunger is everywhere.
The Trickster: *just stares a moment, glancing to the screaming then back to Crowley again* Shouldn't you do something?
Comatose Crowley: Of course not, this is my job. I started all of this, why would I try to mitigate the consequences?
Comatose Crowley: Well, I say I started it...I just put the gun in the hands of the humans, it was their decision to pull the trigger. Figuratively speaking.
The Trickster: ... Uh-huh... Ya know I could go for something sweet right now actually, if that's not too much trouble *smiles*
Comatose Crowley: There isn't any food here. Well, there is, but it's all in the hands of the central authorities. Tons and tons of grain, meat, fruits, vegetables...all out of the reach of the humans who grew it. While they starve in the streets. Do you want to go steal it from the warehouse down the street?
The Trickster: *nods* Yes, that actually sounds like a great idea, let's go do that now huh? You don't seem to be doing anything anyway right? *heads for the door*
Comatose Crowley: No, I suppose not. -Follows after him-
Comatose Crowley: -The child on the street is sprawled out, eyes staring at the sky, too weak to move-
The Trickster: *walks out onto the street again, looking around* So... which way did you say this warehouse was again?
Comatose Crowley: -Points down the street toward the other end of town-
The Trickster: *smiles, going in the indicated direction*
Comatose Crowley: -Follows after him, eyes fixated ahead of him-
The Trickster: *starts whistling 'It's the End of the World as We Know It'*
Comatose Crowley: -A woman holding something concealed in her coat hurries past them-
Comatose Crowley: -the warehouse comes into view, it's well guarded by several teenage boys in Soviet uniform-
Comatose Crowley: -They sit with bored expressions, teasing each other sometimes and getting into minor scuffles-
The Trickster: *whistling dies down, pausing to look at the boy then to Crowley* Hey uh, my Russian is kinda rusty, you think you could use that charm of yours.
Comatose Crowley: It's Ukrainian. But all right. -Approaches the boys-
Comatose Crowley: [Ukrainian: We need to go inside the warehouse to pick out some supplies.]
Comatose Crowley: Lead Guard: [Ukrainian: Fuck off, old man, the quotas for this town hasn’t been filled and nobody gets anything until that state gets its share.]
The Trickster: *sneaks passed while Crowley distracts them*
Comatose Crowley: -Sighs, pulling out a gold watch from inside his coat- [Ukrainian: That's too bad. I really do want to go inside.]
Comatose Crowley: Lead Guard: -Eyes the watch greedily-
Comatose Crowley: -Inside the warehouse are heaps of grain and sacks of flour, and several pens of livestock-
Comatose Crowley: -Dried fruit and vegetables are in huge mounds and pouring out of bags everywhere-
The Trickster: *climbs in through a window, looking around then smirking devilishly*
Comatose Crowley: -The pigs look over and stare at Gabe-
The Trickster: *quickly releases all the animals from their pens*
Comatose Crowley: -The pigs continue to sit lazily, but the goats immediately head out and start munching on the food stores while the sheep make their way toward the lettuce-
Comatose Crowley: -The cows take a few minutes to figure out that the pens is open but then leave too-
The Trickster: *looks to the doors then goes over, crap, it's locked*
The Trickster: *finds a metal bar and crossbars that fucker off*
The Trickster: *slides the door open for the animals, herding them out*
Comatose Crowley: -The animals make their way outside-
Comatose Crowley: -they try to go back inside where the food is-
The Trickster: *waves to Crowley from his hiding place behind the door*
Comatose Crowley: -Looks at him, handing the watch over to the guard-
Comatose Crowley: -Shifts past the guard over to where Gabe is-...What?
The Trickster: Don't 'what' me, come on and grab some grub and let's vamoose outta here *hurries over and starts picking up at much food as he can carry*
Comatose Crowley: -Blinks- Why are we doing that?
The Trickster: Uh HEL-LO, these dickbags are hording it all to themselves when this could easily feed the whole town. *turns back to him* So you just gonna stand there and look pretty or are you gonna get over here and help me
Comatose Crowley: -Shakes head slowly- This is a memory, Gabriel. All of those people are already dead. That woman died of a rectovaginal fistula, and the rest of the population that doesn't die of starvation will be dead of typhus carried by lice because they're not strong enough to groom themselves. Some of the children will live to have their own children and repopulate, however. The ones that were lucky enough not to be killed and eaten by the others. The ones that survive will do so because they were the ones doing the cannibalizing.
The Trickster: Yes, but you, right here, right now, you're conscious of your actions, you know what's going on and what's going to happen, so even if it's all happened before, you're still reliving it. *goes over and hands him a can of beans with a smile* And I bet cha this hasn’t happened before.
Comatose Crowley: -Looks down at can of beans-I can't rewrite this memory. these people died because of me. And not regular died, either. Died horrible, painful, tragic deaths with grass in their mouths.
The Trickster: *gives him a curious look down, setting down the sacks of food* What are you so afraid of then? What keeps you locked in this memory that you force yourself to relive it? ... Do you regret?
Comatose Crowley: Of course I regret it. Not a day goes by I don't think about the months I spent here, nudging the politics of this place into just the right alignment to make this happen. You were gone that whole time, you have no idea the things Lucifer had us doing. The things I did for him. -Waves his hand around- This is greed, Gabriel. This is my vice, this is what being the angel of charity set me up to be when I Fell. Because I have the knowledge of how charity works, and because it was my Virtue, nobody was better prepared to cause this kind of destruction through greed. Lucifer was able to use that to his advantage. I am a powerful weapon in his arsenal.
The Trickster: *pauses a moment then looks around, then back to Crowley* Well... I'm here now aren't I? Now help me carry this stuff *tosses a sack of food to Crowley, before heaving his own up again and taking a cow by a rope, walking out of the warehouse*
Comatose Crowley: -Sighs, taking some of the stuff and following him-
The Trickster: *walks back to where they were before, setting down the food again with a heavy sigh*
Comatose Crowley: -The woman from the house walks by them, limping, staring at the food-
The Trickster: *just smiles at her, holding out a can of corn for her*
Comatose Crowley: -She stares at Gabe in fright, unsure what to do-
The Trickster: Go on, it's ok, it's for you
Comatose Crowley: -She looks back and forth between Crowley and Gabe-
Comatose Crowley: -She takes one step closer to them-
The Trickster: *stays put, just holding out the can for her*
Comatose Crowley: -She reaches out for the can and grabs it, then runs away as fast as she can, pain obvious on her face-
The Trickster: *pauses and moment and shrugs, looking to Crowley* Your turn
Comatose Crowley: -Stares at him, then picks up a sack of potatoes-
Comatose Crowley: -Looks around, spotting a small child- None of them know how to cook...I'll just take this home and make something for them… open a soup house.
The Trickster: *nods* That could work too, let's do that then *smiles warmly*
Comatose Crowley: -A door opens on the other side on the warehouse-
Comatose Crowley: -Smiles- All right. That'll work, I suppose.
The Trickster: *looks to the door curiously*
Comatose Crowley: That's the way onward, to the last layer. I'm sure you have things you need to do here.
The Trickster: *looks back to Crowley then around at the scenery* You got this taken care of then, right? *hopeful smile back to him*
Comatose Crowley: Sure, yeah. No point dwelling on the past, I guess. I've got things to do in the present. Please don't leave again. I'm really, really scared of Lucifer. Not of what he'll do to me, but how attached I am to him.
The Trickster: *smiles wider* You needn't worry too much about him, I'm here now, and I'm here to stay, you can count on that *puts a hand on Crowley’s shoulder*
Comatose Crowley: -Smiles- Thank you. -Hefts bag onto his shoulder- I'd better get going.
The Trickster: Me too, see ya 'round *winks then proceeds through the door*
Comatose Crowley: -On the other side of the door is an open, sunny meadow with fruit trees of all kinds surrounding it, their branches reaching down toward the ground from the weight of their produce-
Comatose Crowley: -A small stream runs through it, chuckling merrily on its way through to the forest of food producing trees on the other side-
Comatose Crowley: -There is a small sign nailed onto one of the trees and a rustling sound coming from one of them-
The Trickster: *sighs lightly with a bit of relief to the change in scenery, walking through the meadow, looking around at all the trees then examining the sing*
Comatose Crowley: -The sign is written in Enochian and it says:-
There should be no hesitation when the coast is clear
You got a right to slide right into place when the end is almost here
So you think you got some rotten deal
What a way to compromise
It's a long long way before you get to claim that final prize
Looking at that sorry face I can recognize the fear
But if you keep on looking up at night the stars will all appear
See there's food for me, there's food for you
There's gold that's in the air
There's oceans deep and wide and there is love beyond compare
There's apples in the trees
Let's take all that we need
We know what we believe
There's hope for you and me
My eyes can almost see
If you fight 'til you're free
You don't have to wait until you die
The Trickster: *reads the sign thoughtfully, smiling and looking around again, looking up at the apples*
Comatose Crowley: -The rustling sound in one of the other trees is louder-
The Trickster: *looks over to the rustling, following the noise*
Comatose Crowley: -Eheres is sitting up in one of the trees, trimming the branches with a long pair of shears, humming merrily-
The Trickster: *calls out with a smile* Hello, up there! Are the pickin's good this time of year or is this just all the time?
Comatose Crowley: -Laughs, picking a plum off the tree at tossing it at his head gently-Never a winter's day here. -The place where the plum was is empty for a few minutes, then the branch grows a new plum blossom-
The Trickster: *smiles wide back up at him, catching the plum* I doubt it, it's so well kept. *bites into it, holy crap best plum ever*
Comatose Crowley: -Smiles- Well, thanks. Sometimes I have storms or the soil goes dry, but I manage. -The plum reblossoms, the flower unfurling as he speaks-
The Trickster: With a green thumb like yours it's no surprise. Why don't you come down here though so that we can talk normally?
Comatose Crowley: Sure! -Slides down the tree, sticking the shears into the ground-
Comatose Crowley: -Stands in front of him, hands going into pockets, standing comfortably and easily-
The Trickster: *pauses a moment, looking Crowley over* Wow... this is... new... *takes another bite of the plum* Anyway, got a question for ya.
Comatose Crowley: What's up?
The Trickster: What's with the whole system shut down thing all of a sudden? Didn't think it was like to you give up so easily.
Comatose Crowley: -A new plum bursts quickly from the flower, taking up the place where the old one was-Oh, we had to go through some repairs. Dunno what happened, I was asleep and suddenly I was reading huge amounts of blood loss from the vessel. Unnatural amounts, you know. Like I was being drained or something. So I shut everything down to get repairs done.
The Trickster: *pauses a moment then nods* Uh-huh... well, I have a theory but I don't think you're gonna like it too much
Comatose Crowley: -brow twitches- I'm sure I'm not, given that I fell asleep at the house, meaning it was someone there who did this.
The Trickster: Um... yeeea, I... may or may not have found Sami passed out in the main room... looking kinda bloody too
Comatose Crowley: ...Sami? Really? -Stares at him-
Comatose Crowley: -Clearly hurt and betrayed expression on face, also somewhat confused-
The Trickster: *throws hands up defensively* Hey, I dunno what happened, I didn't see it for myself but I was just trying to put the pieces together, seemed like the more logical answer although bela and ruby were the ones that found you.
Comatose Crowley: All right...yeah, I guess I can't leap to conclusions. I'll see about it when I'm done putting myself together. I'll ask them, then, thank you.
The Trickster: *smiles a bit* Course, always glad to help when I can
Comatose Crowley: -Nods- I know. I'm glad to have you in my life. I can't imagine many others coming in here after me like this.
The Trickster: *looks back at Crowley with a raised brow* I'm guessing it's only been me and Zira in here then
Comatose Crowley: Yep, just you two. Well, Zira hasn't made a formal entrance yet, but he's the only other person I'd let in.
Comatose Crowley: We'll see about Michael, though, things seem to be going all right with him. Barely see him anymore though, expect he's busy with Sofie.
The Trickster: *raises both brows now, shuffles a bit, looking around again* A baby will do that to someone, it's probably the best thing for them right now too, staying away from all the craziness in the house *noms plum*
Comatose Crowley: Too true. Especially with Lucifer in the house, they should all stay away as much as possible.
The Trickster: *scoffs lightly* I would suggest putting up some kind of warding sigil but that would probably only piss him off...
Comatose Crowley: -Nods- He about cracked my gates last time he tried to visit Hell. Anyway...is that all you needed? It's nice to have you around and all, but I'm sure you have other things to do.
The Trickster: *finishes plum, tossing the pit aside into the grass* Nope, just came in here to see what the major malfunction was, but it seems like you got it taken care of *smiles back to eheres*
Comatose Crowley: Yep, I'm good here. I'll have myself cleaned up by tomorrow. -Grins-
The Trickster: Sounds great... *wants hug but not sure*
Comatose Crowley: -Laughs, then stretches his arms out-
The Trickster: *smiles wide, hugging eheres*
Comatose Crowley: -Hugs, grinning- I'll take you back, then.
The Trickster: *nods, bracing self*
Comatose Crowley: -The meadow fades away into silvery light, then Gabe finds himself back with the Gatekeeper-
Comatose Crowley: -Looks up- Oh, you made it back, Gabriel. -Chortles-
The Trickster: *rolls eyes* Yea yea, I'm outta here *exits Crowley’s mind*
The Trickster: *too lazy to move now... lays on the bed next to Crowley*
Comatose Crowley: -Passed out on bed-
