at this point, it’s not even about the time on ice itself. like, if he wants to hurt himself and learn the hard way that he has to manage his toi (and let people manage it) no one can’t stop him. if i can see it coming, he definitely can see it coming too. and it’s his choice. be my guest, die trying, etc. but it gets to a point where not only it physically hurts him, it also damages the team. his 2-minute long shifts do not help anyone. he’s good, but he gets as gassed as the next guy whether he likes it or not. lmao. and the fact that he’s created not only the expectation that he’ll do it but also the precedent that he won’t listen to his coach and thinks he knows best is a bad look! it is! and in a world where warso is competent, maybe it wouldn’t happen, but it’s not the world we live in. so he needs to learn to LISTEN and do better.
