Reposted from @joey_carbstrong - This picture has stirred up some emotions inside of me. This is exactly what is wrong with adults when it comes to their perception of animals. This is where it all stems from, our childhood. - Adults are literally just children who have grown up. Here in the picture we see a human baby looking quite disturbed at a murdered piglet wrapped in plastic. - What is the child being taught here? That murdering animals is normal and ok? Look at the smiles on the adults faces. What type of confusing message does that send to the infant? - Babies are like sponges and they do most of their learning in the first few years of their life. It’s so obvious how we have people in society who grow up disconnected and lacking compassion for animals, they are taught as children that certain animals don’t matter. They are taught to be nice to the dog or the kitty, but that killing and eating pigs, chickens or fish is totally fine and natural. - It’s no wonder we have children who grow up to be cold-hearted hunters or animal abusers. How else would they turn out when this is how they’re raised to view animals? - I think we need to understand this type of childhood conditioning so we can better approach the problem. We need to analyse where people’s perception of animals stems from. We need to find out exactly where and when they had their compassion for animals programmed out of them. - By gaining a better understanding of this we can then help people reconnect with that child inside of them who would never want to see something bad happen to an animal and in turn create a more compassionate world 🌍 💙🐷 - 🌱Wanna reconnect with your innate compassion for animals?
