31. How do you see yourself in 5+ years? Do you still own aquatic organisms? Have you gotten out of control? Or are you still trying to cycle a tank?

HA. HA. As if I would never not own aquariums. I may have to severely downsize to just one betta and some otos in a 10 gal, but I will always always have an aquarium. Always.

Honestly in 5 years I would like to hope that I could expand my hobby a little bit. By that time I will be finished with schooling forever, have a full-time job, and hopefully settled down in a house. This means I could begin to look into more interesting tanks like a sulawesi biotope or a hillstream tank. I don't think I'll have either of my large tanks (150 discus or 125 SE asian), but I will be saving for them.

30. Do you want to join up with other fish-community people and open a fish store? 

Yes!

Idk but I'm majoring in marine biology in college so fish will always be apart of my life. I hope I'll be able to take some of my fish stuff with me when I move to Washington state in 3 years

 Well I definitely still see myself keeping fish, especially bettas. Hopefully maybe a nice goldfish tank too.  Or I just might be the crazy betta lady. Cause the number is just slowly going up. lol

 I'm hoping that by then I can be an expert keeper on some fish. Hey, maybe we'll open that aquatics store. lol

Define out of control... I see myself surrounded by more tanks than most sane people would think is reasonable, maybe another two or so? That would make a total of 6 tanks. I am planning to save up to buying my own house though, with my new job starting in november, so maybe I'll be somewhere else entirely. Somewhere with more wall-space. Somewhere with more rooms and maybe a cellar for real coldwater inhabitants. (think giant lobster *--*) and a garden, with pond capacity..... yeah.... I like how after one year in the hobby all my future visions already revolve around the possibility of more tanks. I don't think this will stop anytime soon.

In five years, I see myself still trying to get my degree, however, I also see myself with my fish still. I want to have my Oscar still because he's my baby, and I always will love him.

I will be cycling though. Amen.

29. Do you want to join up with other fish-community people and open a fish store?

Realistically, no. Retail isn't an easy business and starting a privately-owned operation is no small feat. The principle of "build it and they will come" no longer applies when you're competing with the internet and large corporations. I see it as too risky of an endeavor.

Would I be willing to work at an establish pet store? Sure. I'm actually applying to some while at grad school. But opening a store is an entirely different animal. One I won't touch with 39 1/2 foot pole.

 HECK YES! That would be amazing. Fish in proper conditions and people that will actually tell people the truth? Sign me up. It would be a dream come true.  Just imagine what we could all do together.

30 - Do you want to join up with other fish-people and make a store?

The only thing keeping me from applying in a fishstore is that I'm worried I might have to sell fish into inadequate homes. I think a store that doesn't rely on throw-away fish as an income had to specialize more? Like... order fish for customers on demand or focus heavily on different types of fish food and filters and what-not.

I'd be great of course, to make a store like this, but right now I have no plans to do so.
