I saw this phrase as I was scrolling through stuffnoonetoldme.blogspot and it struck me profoundly
like “WHAM” in the face by the ocean waves as you’re lying lounging in the sand profound
being someone who escaped (not entirely) the entrenching life of a people pleaser, I no longer have heavy burdens on my spirit every time I socialize or work toward my goals. however, I still can’t hide from the way I am reluctant to be bold in word toward others. maybe it’s because I come from an East Asian background where actions speak louder than words. but I struggle with saying things that may rub against the other in the wrong way, even if it’s for the better. or sometimes, it’s just plain pride that gets in the way.

“I love you a lot”
Lord, help me not to fear the immediate reaction of man but to fear You and the repercussion of not speaking the necessarily truth. Help me to be bolder in word. I want every word I say to be sharp and meaningful. Restrain my tongue in other ways that are excessive; let it not run like a wild horse.

i figured it out, its not that you deliberately try to hurt me, its just that there's no finesse in your writing skills. what's meant in your messages is totally different that how you speak to me so, i really won't hold it against you... but they did say, "no matter how busy you are, if you really cared, you'll make time to show it..." now that is something i can hold against you...
