Rey brought her saber up in time to block Kylo’s, the blue and red of their respective weapons clashing as much as the blades. Finally, finally Luke had begun to teach her how to use an actual lightsaber. She had to hope it’d be enough; last time, she knew she only got away on pure luck and sudden burst of the Force.
“That,” she growled, “was personal.”
She shoved the crackling red blade away from her.
