Maisernte
Description: Maisernte is a holiday celebrated on November 29th by Wheatists. The holiday marks the day when Cornelius was conceived among Oatyseous and Barsyllia. On this holiday, Wheatists will sing carols and children will write poems, songs, or art, often depicting the glorification of Cornelius, Oatyseous, Barsyllia, and their other offspring. The childrens' work is put into a finely woven wicker basket called a "schaskis", to be collected by the parents, and replaced with small treats. These treats vary from caramel corn to pottery. These gifts are often homemade and are accompanied by a letter written by the parents portraying the spirit of Cornelius. There is also a feast to commemorate the ending of the corn harvest. This feast includes many corn products such as corn bread, corn on the cob, corn english muffins, creamed corn, and more.
