Sketching out at Whim Creek Hotel the other day. I’m staying out on a cattle station at the moment and slowly starting to incorporate the ourback into some of my drawings! This is some character design for my old uni’s illustration club’s monthly prompt. Curtin Illustration Club This is a Wheat Spirit Wizard, which is amusing because he is a Coeliac. He draws his magic from the bond with the wheat spirit and lives in the outback. It's mostly a carefree life for his kind. Maintenance on the windmills and water pumps. But neighboring folk sneak in to cast Leaf Rust Fungal Diseases and lay baits to attract the Giant Cereal Leaf Beetles, which take a fair amount of effort to rid.
