Latest development for Wheelchairs includes the addition of rollator-style walkers! They're missing a crafting recipe right now but should be available shortly in a beta version.
These are a new kind of entity that isn't a vehicle but nonetheless follows you around, like a leashed entity or tamed wolf but a Lot more precise. They can also be given a chest to hold 15 inventory slots, opened using the wheelchair inventory key when looking at them.
And by popular request, upgrades (both for the walkers and wheelchairs) can be removed by shift+rclicking the entity with any axe item. This removes the most-recently applied upgrade, dropping the upgrade item.

And the fact that it has my mobility aid needs in it (because I'm in a situation where I would be abused if I had an aid but mother fucker when I get out I'm getting crutches). And the fact that it's recent. And the fact that it's Fabric. People like you are why I love this community. Also why I'm learning Java coding.
By popular demand, the Wheelchairs mod is now in the process of updating its content for 1.21.4!
Only the wheelchairs, wheeled stool, and speech tablet are currently available. The chairs are missing a couple of upgrades and the tablet its GUI background texture, but this otherwise represents the most stable content currently up-to-date.
Most of the disabled content can still be accessed with commands or item mods but is either missing functionality or can cause crashes, potentially even bricking your save entirely if misused.
For obvious reasons, I don't recommend fiddling with most of it, and it's only still present at all because it'd be even harder to actually remove it from the codebase entirely.
More content to be re-enabled as development continues.

Good news for all the Forge players who've dearly wanted to try out the Wheelchairs mod, the first backport version for Forge is now available!
I'm expecting there'll be one or more bugs given that this is the first version for Forge using Architectury, but hopefully this is still enough to at least give you a taste of what you've been missing out on.
There's also a 2.6 backport version out for Fabric with a host of bugfixes for issues reported via GitHub. So more or less something for everyone to enjoy today
