Minako approached the boy, cautious but friendly. He seemed quiet, and she didn’t want to spook him. “Hey! You’re Shirogane, right? I’m Minako. If you need any help finding your way around the school, I’d be happy to help!”

"Shirogane-kun...?"
This was a face Katsuya hadn't expected to see. He'd been told Inaba was accepting outside help for the ongoing murder case... but it hadn't occurred to him that he might pass Shirogane entering the station.
A small smile rose to his lips—because seeing a fresh face like Naoto's surrounded by world-weary, bitter officers was always... adorable, though he wouldn't dare say that aloud. In fact, he attempted to hide his smile behind a hand, raising it to his lips as though clearing his throat.
"It's good to see you. Are you working here, now?"

“Pardon me, but would you happen to know where Yosuke Hanamura is located? Also, are you aware if he is a bad person and may or may not have a corrupted treasure stashed somewhere?”

“Naoto-Kun! Looking beary cute as usual! How’s work?”

When they'd told him that Shirogane was young, they hadn't warned him about all the rest of it. Standing before him was the most stern baby-face Katsuya had ever seen—and if that wasn't enough, Shirogane sported a navy trench-coat with all the conviction of a noir-novel detective. It was as though one of those eccentric fictional sleuths had stepped right out of a novel and into the lobby of Katsuya's station... in miniature.
He wasn't sure what to make of it, and he found himself idly wondering if this was all some sort of joke. Unsure of how else to greet Shirogane, he offered a hand to shake, his tone slightly bemused.
"My name is Inspector Katsuya Suou—my superiors informed me you've taken an interest in my current investigation. It's... a pleasure to meet you."

“Hey, Naoto. It’s not cheating if I ask a detective to watch a murder-mystery show with me, right?”
