09/08/2023: Wheels on Wednesdays (WoW)
Not an event I’ve come across before to be honest, it was only something I had learnt about through a colleague of mine and given it was only being hosted down the road at the Morgan Motor Company in Malvern, I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to attend.
So what is WoW? It can either an early morning or evening drive/ride out to some iconic venues. Food, drink and a social gathering of motoring enthusiasts to be precise.
To be honest I was more intrigued at the venue over the other vehicles attending, I’m not a fan boy of rich people showing off their toys and quite frankly revving the tits off your Lamborghini kinda reinforces that perception.
But enough about that, it’s a great way to feel all nostalgic walking around various decades of automotive history both venue and guest cars. The highlight for me was actually the array of 2 wheels poised next to a patina’d Series 1.
The Ferrari parked next to me made me snigger a little bit, parking is first come first serve, so if you get there way before opening you’ll get a space in the car park where everyone enters.. leave it a little late and you’ll be around the back on the field. Well this entitled owner of the Ferrari thought it was outrageous and kicked up a right stink about being around the back, It’s awesome to flaunt your pride and joy… but Jesus, don’t be a dick!
