How has your day been?
Just got back from vacation in the great wild north, and found 147 emails in my work inbox and so I’ve spent most of the day sorting through THAT particular mess. Temperature finally dropped to tolerable levels, but I don’t have my river to float down anymore, and I am a little bit mad about that.
What was the last thing that made you smile?
Watching my friend (who hadn’t watched us just scoot along the shallow part) fight against a river current in the only deep spot (6+ feet deep, but only like 8 feet wide) in a $5 tube from Wal-Mart, half-assedly kicking while protesting “I’M MAKING PROGRESS!” while we sat back and laughed because we could see she wasn’t going anywhere.
What’s keeping you entertained these days?
Learning new types of photography - including night and star photography; dragging same friends through the woods in search of picture taking spots and also waking them up at the ass crack of dawn and keeping them up till the witching hours for the same reason.
Gardening. All the things. Which has also lead to pickling. And canning.
If you’re in quarantine/ isolation, is there anything you’d like to achieve during this time?
To finish the last goddamn chapter of Damnatio Memoriae even if it kills me before season 5 of Lucifer airs on Netflix.
Also, since I am traveling to like, the hottest hot spot of COVID in the US to help my sister move, I would like to survive that, because I am a hiiiiiigh risk category (which I just found out, thanks to the VA pointing out that I had undiagnosed and untreated pneumonia for 6 months which left permanent scarring on my lungs - whoopsy-daisy.)
