I'm not seeing anyone right now or--or looking to see anyone. Me neither. Okay. But, you know, boundaries. Yeah, super important. Yeah, agreed. 'Cause--you know, I--I still haven't totally forgiven you yet. I know. But when I do, maybe you can come and help me study. I'm looking forward to it.

Chemise Sewalong 2025 - Step 3: Connecting the sleeves and body
Step 3: Connecting the body and the sleeves
Now we’re really getting into the stitching bit. First up: stretch your hands!
Look at this adorable animation for anti carpal tunnel stretches:
Reminder: all seam allowances are 1cm.
Lay out your sleeve-and-gusset pieces next to your body front and back pieces like so:
Overlap the front piece about 5cm with the actual sleeve piece and the back piece about 10 cm. This ensures the back will be slightly higher than the neckline.
Repeat this process for the other sleeve.
Flip the sleeve over and sew the gusset and sleeve overlap to both bodice pieces right side to right side. When you get to the seam allowance, fold it inwards and sew over it.
Then some finishing to make our lives easier later:
Fold in the seams of the triangles where they are sewn to the body and sleeves twice. Fell these down.
Tl;dr – place sleeves on bodice pieces with overlap as shown and sew down on both sides.
For sewing machines, same steps, minus the felling.
