I’m still a little pissed at the reception to Tiger King. Still. This documentary covered up evidence of most of 19 credible charges to create this undeserved underdog narrative for an open bigot and attempted murderer who beat, neglected and killed animals (including babies) for decades, and completely disregarded his employees basic human rights, and people still pull this #freejoeexotic shit. Just because he has a funny haircut (and because people like to laugh at southerners, let’s be real) doesn’t mean he’s not a reprehensible human being who is absolutely guilty of a majority of the things he’s in prison for. Just... the downplaying and reworking of blatant and disgusting crimes is something I haven’t seen outside of YouTube and it makes me really uncomfortable.
