Allowed to Be
✦ the mind rarely asks “is it real?” only: “does it belong?”
✦ ᛉ ᚨ ᚷ ᛟ ✦
One of the strangest things about humans
is that meaning often matters more than accuracy.
Tell one person:
"The muscles are locking."
And the experience fits.
Tell another:
"The spell is taking hold."
And somehow that fits too.
Different stories.
Different symbols.
Sometimes the same result.
Which is uncomfortable if you're the sort of person who believes people are guided primarily by facts.
Because facts matter.
But meaning decides where they land.
The mind doesn't ask:
"Is this objectively true?"
Not first.
First it asks:
"Does this belong inside the world I already understand?"
And if the answer is yes...
resistance becomes strangely quiet.
Not because the idea is true.
Not because the idea is false.
But because it found a place to live.
