Exploring the Athabasca Glacier in late July of this year (2019) was somehow bittersweet due to the uncooperative weather condition that time. The unexpected heavy downpour that day did a lot of major setback on the already frigid scenario, thus, limiting our time out in the ice field, impairing our vista, & hindering picture~perfect shots. To top it off, every false step you make could either make or break you & totally tip you off your balance. Worst, you could find yourself soaking in the freezing H20 that fills the cracks & crevices of the ice ❄️ field (as it happened to one of the tourists riding in our bus🥶. Fortunately, she’s alive). But above all these challenges, the experience was truly humbling.
