So, I'm writing a book. And truth be told - it scares the stuff out of me. Not to mention I'll miss the money I made focusing on other things. But I've been meditating on it for weeks now and can't escape the feeling that it's time. This morning I woke up around 7am to get some water and instead of falling back asleep I laid in bed for 45 minutes while a whole chapter "wrote" itself in my head. I was too stunned to even grab a pen. Just laid there listening to what sounded like an internal audiobook narrating page after page. Last month the founder of theGrio flat out said to me, "I think there's a book inside of you," and I'm just now realizing how prophetic those words were. Whatever "this" is - I need to get it out. Now. It almost feels like my sanity depends on it. Scribbling prose on napkins and writing long vents on social media isn't cutting it anymore.
