When trekking through the Thai jungles there's a strong possibility you'll happen upon a random temple or waterfall. A new friend and local offered to take us up to these waterfalls and I happily obliged and I'm so grateful I did! At all the spas down in town you'll find people soaking their feet in tanks with small fish to have them nibble off the rough skin. To think some people pay for these things! Especially when a 20 minute scooter ride up a steep mountain and a 15 minute hike will get you the same result-for free and underneath a freaking waterfall!!! Not to mention the fresh fruit growing wild that you can pick for a snack along the way. Longons, langsats (NOT the same although I can't tell a visual difference. The difference is in the flavor.), and fresh bananas. Really can't go wrong. These small waterfalls cascade into pools where the small fish reside and after the intense jungle heat is a great reprieve. It's there I dipped my feet and got my spa treatment amidst the sound of rushing water and mother Earth's creatures. Some of my favorite things hit in one day-nature, hiking, and free food! Afterwards we hit a small hippie shack where we had some beers and "chilled" with some fellow travelers. Find strength in the opportunities presented and go with the flow was the lesson for the day and I have this experience to thank for that. 🏞 🏞🏞 🏞🏞🏞 #lifeofabackpacker #wanderwithme #wanderingwoman #adventureeverywhere #whereveriwander #whereveriroam #waterfalls #travelkohsamui #wandertheworld #hikinginthailand #travelblogging #seetheworld #beautyofthailand #ilovenature #naturalspa (at Ko Samui)
