for some reason i’ve fully gone back into the deep end of asoiaf lore and i am considering rereading the books but then i remember that we’re never getting the end of the story so i stop.............. george this isn’t funny anymore where the fuck is the twow im gonna kill you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here’s some food for thought. And I put this forth as someone who absolutely adores Essek, and also absolutely adores Artagan. 

Why is it that the fandom is willing to forgive Essek for his crimes immediately and yet continues to be suspicious of Artagan? Essek who was canonically supposed to be a baddie, Essek who has done terrible things and is not sorry for most of it, Essek who has only shown once any remorse for his behavior in a show of growth, specifically in a situation where NOT showing remorse would mean his own death, has had fandom apology from day one. Meanwhile Artagan, who we know is an Archfey so is inherently chaotic neutral, who has been (as he rightfully reminded the Nein this episode) the magic behind heal after heal after heal, who has shown only love and respect and admiration for Jester, needs to spell out for the Nein (and for us) that he doesn’t want to harm Jester or them like he’s speaking to children for anyone to lower their hackles? 

And this isn’t a judgement on their of them. I love them both. But it’s interesting.
