so i know this happened a while ago and this has been dealt with already but i just read about what happened with the familyofive/daddyofive youtube channel and it’s so upsetting that parents can treat treat their children so cruelly and exploit them to make money off of social media and not see any problem with their actions

telling them they can’t take a joke when something is clearly upsetting them is ridiculous. parents should be willing to understand why their own child is unhappy so that they can help them instead of just dismissing a child’s valid distress because they think the kid is somehow ruining their fun

you are a parent. yeah parenting can be stressful and difficult but children aren’t just to be cast aside as an inconvenience in your life. they are people. the way you treat children greatly affects the person they become later in life because they are learning from everything you do. teach them to be good and kind people by being good and kind yourself. teach them to respect yourself and others by giving them the respect they deserve as another person. you are responsible for teaching them what’s right and what’s not

it is a similar sort of ‘this is a human? this was a human? it has gone SO wrong do not make me look at that anymore please’ uncanny-valley vibe where you could be like ‘ha ha these funny prosthetics and costumes!! so silly, what a cheap budget’ or you could curl up into a ball and cry and hope to not have the worst nightmares

and damn am i so hyped for the return of the Mondas Cybermen they've always been my #1 Nope in DW canon and i really like it when this franchise scares the shit outta me
