Does Erik ever find out that Peter is his son in the x men movies? Because I haven’t watched most of them but I’m genuinely baffled as to why they wouldn’t pick up such a great storyline...

No 😭 They tease it with “You know, my mum knew a guy who could do that” line in DoFP, followed by “wait a min...” type of expression on both Erik and Peter’s faces and that’s pretty much the most screentime they ever shared together.

Peter’s entire arc in Apocalpse is to find Erik because he’s his dad, but by the time he finds him he decides not to tell him so the director screwed up the ONLY character arc Peter had.

And then in Dark Phoenix they don’t even acknowledge it, the entire dadneto storyline is dropped, Peter doesn’t even get the opportunity to see Erik bc y’kno, they had to knock him out.

It’s extra painful because in an Apocalypse interview Evan admitted that originally they were planning on having Peter tell Erik he’s his son, but when it actually came down to filming the scene they decided to NOT do that😭
