Do you guys think that stiles gets a little teary-eyed the first time derek's relaxed enough to fall asleep before him? Because I think he gets a little teary-eyed. He's often shown to be the one to realize the implications and gravity of a situation, especially in regards to information about Derek.

Inspired by their wonderful fic Virginia is for Lovers (heed the warnings!) - set twenty years after season 1, it beautifully navigates Derek's recovery process after a traumatic event and Stiles' burnout from the FBI.

it’s april 1st, where have you been bestie?? 😭

Busy, haha! I‘m currently a double major in college, prepping for a study abroad (so visas, paperwork, research project proposals for grants to fund said research projects, etc.), I coach figure skating/skate myself, I’m an equestrian so I’ve got horses to ride, and a boatload of other stuff. I’ll be back eventually, don’t worry! Just… insanely busy rn and tumblr is not a top priority! I do have some stuff written, so maybe I’ll queue that up!

you know, hadn’t seen doctor who for years before season 11, which was actually absolutely fine b/c they wrote s11 for people like me who didn’t know everything about the show, expecting an influx of new viewers, i expect. 

and as their target audience, gotta say, s11 was perfect. As in, what they were trying to achieve? Nailed it. I believe the creators have even said that’s what they were doing in s11, so it’s not like they were being subtle about their storytelling ambitions. 

Which is why it’s just, at this point eye roll worthy seeing people complain doctor who failed to do what it wanted to in s11. That’s wrong, the problem you have is they weren’t trying to make it what You wanted, and that’s a fair opinion, have at it, but the show did not fail in doing what they were out to achieve. And as somebody who was nominally their target audience, they did a damn good job of reeling me back in without confusing me at all. And i cannot exactly imagine it’d be easy to let somebody jump right back into a narrative they’ve not seen content for in 3 years and not feel confused. 

But like, yeah, there’s a difference between show trying to please a different subset of viewers than you and it being unilaterally awful at existing. just. yeah.
