LONELINESS had always plagued her mind; dreams void save for whatever she wanted to appear (after all, lucidly was the only way she dreamt). It was always just her and the darkness that tainted her heart; the madness that seeped into her brain from the poison in her amulet (something she still wasn’t aware of or perhaps she was, but denial chained it up).

Yes, she was ALONE in her head & the one time she’d let someone in (a certain dream demon), it hadn’t been pleasant. But at least she knew how it felt. To have another presence wandering around in her head. Which was why when something unfamiliar flashed in her peripheral vision, she quickly turned... to find n o t h i n g there. Was it another dream demon? She hoped not, they were a pain.

“I KNOW someone’s there!” she shouted, muscles tense and body positioned in a fighting stance, ready to hit whatever dared to invade her space.
