With the @whimbyaree "Black Panther Book" skirt set, I aimed to create pieces that softened the black panther emblem while making a strong statement of it's legacy. I began creating the textile in Brooklyn and eventually partnered with my friend Raj in Mumbai, India to finish it off. The @whimbyaree SS18 collection was inspired by “Home”. Comfort within yourself and in your surroundings. I am blessed to have worked with my sisters @magicmamii & @racheal_speaks who brought their love and insight to help capture this home feeling.
