               cicadas echoes carry in the summer breeze, which now synchronize with the sound of shouyou’s causal humming. he tight-rope walks on the sidewalk, already ahead of kenma but not too far. a happy smile stretched across his face that glimmers faintly with sweat: ❛ ice cream! ice cream! tastiest treat around ~ ! ❜ it wasn’t often they saw each other ( only in school-settings ) but due to the summer semester finally ending, the two of them could finally reconnect and spend a few days with one another. since it was hot out, both decided it’d be good to get some ice cream and cool themselves off and also get a little bit of fresh air. the humming ceases, steps coming to a halt as he turns on his heel, his cheerful smile bright as the sun now directed towards him. ❛ ne, kenma! do you know what flavor are you going to get yet ? ❜

     As soon as she saw the banner saying her friend was online, Alice immediately clicked the voice chat option and waited for him to pick up. “Pi-chan, hi!” Greeting him cheerfully, she asked about his day while he got settled into his setup, nearly bouncing in her chair while waiting for the perfect time to say: “Stardew Valley has multiplayer now! Come farm with me!”

     He knows. Of course he does. She cut her hair shorter. Just enough for it to be noticeable and still be at a length that allows her to fix it in her favorite styles. All it takes is one look for Kenma-kun to figure out the timeline of her learning it, being upset over it and then doing something about it.

“...Don’t look at me like that.” She mumbles because his smug face is the actual worst and she doesn’t need to feel anymore embarrassed than she already is for being upset over something so silly.

     Hajime is always so composed, she enjoys surprising him every now and then. Especially with a kiss. A smile spreads across her lips at the same time that lovely flush takes over his face. The pat on her head has her chuckling, but he pays her back right away as his words make her blush as well. 

“That’s going to get you another kiss.” She warns timidly, getting up on the tip of her toes to reach his lips again.

     Those words within their original context already hold such a wonderful and precious meaning, but it’s even more special when Takanobu says it. Doubly so. “I love your voice, my Sun and Stars.” She tells him softly, touching his face and kissing him as well.
