@unblume asked: " i bought the OST album. " kenma flips the plastic cover to the backside, where alice's stage name can be found starring the character that she had voiced in the latest game release. she had been putting good work into it; and naturally, he wouldn't let her go without his opinion on her character's theme song. " i thought you'd want to listen to it together. "
His casual and unwavering support never fails to touch her. Alice smiles when he brings out the extra purchase - something he went out of his way to get, considering he is one of the select streamers that had gotten early access to the game - and nods, bringing a chair closer to his desk so she can sit with him. Kenma’s feedback is one of the most important for her, not only because he truly enjoys games and has both an eye and ear for details, making his reviews very popular, but also because he is a friend who will honestly tell her what he thinks.
“Go easy on me~” She jokingly requests with a smile, pulling her legs up onto the gaming chair and leaning back on it. Singing the main themes for a few games brought her a great number of new fans and led her to voicing a character who happened to be a singer in another. She’s been approached to start taking more important roles in a plethora of genres, but she’s not quite confident enough in her acting. Alice has no doubts about her singing, though, and is thankful for him starting with the song she’s very proud of before moving on to his thoughts on her in-game work.
He knows. Of course he does. She cut her hair shorter. Just enough for it to be noticeable and still be at a length that allows her to fix it in her favorite styles. All it takes is one look for Kenma-kun to figure out the timeline of her learning it, being upset over it and then doing something about it.
“...Don’t look at me like that.” She mumbles because his smug face is the actual worst and she doesn’t need to feel anymore embarrassed than she already is for being upset over something so silly.
i wrote some platonic tsukishima and hinata so buckle up for the ride of your life warning theres the f word in this (plus supportive friends kuroo and kenma)
Hinata bursts into the cafe, sweat trickling down his temples as he scours the room for his friends. He lets out a loud sigh of relief as he catches sight of his friends and strides over as quickly as possible.
“I accidentally gave an old man the wrong impression and now he wants my ass and I lied and told him I was dating someone-” Hinata wheezes, gripping Tsukishima’s shoulders as he tries to catch his breath.Kuroo snickers in the background and Kenma elbows him in the sternum.
“It is a nice ass,” Tsukishima comments consideringly and then lets out a strangled yelp as Hinata plants himself solidly in his lap.
The situation is taken out of his hands when a mouth breathing old man saunters over, “You left before I could get your number-”
Tsukishima quirks an eyebrow and wraps an arm around Hinata’s waist, pulling him further onto his lap, “What can I do for you?”
The man eyes their position, “I’m here for Shou-”
“Oh, you have business with my boyfriend.” Tsukishima bats his eyelashes and looks down at Hinata who is red faced and still wheezing, “You have business with the love of my life. My sun and my stars. The fire of my loins-”
“Fuck you.” Hinata blurts instinctively, trying to wriggle out of his (he would reluctantly call him this) friends grip. He doesn’t know what he was expecting, asking Tsukishima for help.
“Not now snookums.” Tsukishima doesn’t miss a beat as he tightens his hold. “Someone has business with you. You should go, but these-” Tsukishima pauses to look at the old man. “How long is this going to take?”
“A few minutes.” The man says uncertainly.
“Right.” Tsukishima nods and then turns back to address Hinata with a trembling voice and watery eyes, “- These couple minutes are going to be so difficult without you. Being separated from you is painful but while you’re talking with this kind man, I wish you health and prosperity because I love you. Because we’re boyfriends.”
“Fiances.” Kuroo adds helpfully.
“Thank you, Kuroo. I had forgotten I proposed.” Tsukishima says without breaking eye contact with Hinata who is shaking in his lap. “Make sure to come back quickly, my beautiful bride. Because-” Tsukishima pauses again, grabs Hinata’s hand and presses it to his stomach, “I want to have a child with you.”
Hinata is on the verge of losing his shit. Kuroo’s eyes pool over and drip down his face, expression tense as he fights down the laughter.
“I was thinking of Stacy for the name.” Tsukishima’s voice cracks, “Short for Ecstacy. Because raising a kid with you is going to be a fucking trip.”
Hinata buries his face in Tsukishima’s neck to hide the fact that he’s fucking sobbing.
Kuroo is curled up in a ball on the other side of the booth. Kenma pats his back while wiping the single tear from his own cheek, stoic faced, “It’s a beautiful name.” He says seriously.
“Thank you Kenma.“ Tsukishima answers, “Anyway, Hinata. Shou-chan. My love. If you really must go talk to this man, be safe. Come back soon.”
Tsukishima looks up but the man is nowhere to be seen. He pulls Hinata closer once again and lets him sob into his shoulder. Kuroo is no longer breathing. Kenma’s cheeks are wet.
au where hinata is in love with the stars. he looks at them every night before falling asleep, and every night he likes to think he’s talking to one star in particular. it’s the one that glows the brightest, the one that twinkles with joy when he glances at it. he wishes on that star that one day he’ll find someone. someone who would love him with the same passion he has for the star he grown to love. little did he know that the star heard his small thoughts and wishes. the star longed for him too. and every night the star would come down from the sky and look at the boy as he slept. the star was also a boy, much like hinata. he loved him. it wasn’t until a short amount of time that hinata had met with the star, and each night they would talk for hours, and hinata could never take his eyes of him. the way his skin glowed that fluorescent yellow, and the way the boy’s laugh sounded like a tinkling of bells. but, the star boy and hinata couldn’t be together. they could only keep each other company. for years and years, they talked and talked every night. and every night they said goodbye with a frown. it wasn’t until one day that hinata touched the boy’s hand, and leaned in and kissed his cheek. little did he know that once he did, the star would disappear forever.
“i’ll find you again. i promise.”
and the star laughed, and he gave a small smile before returning the sky, not as a star, but as specks of gold dust.
hinata never did find that star again. but years later, while looking for books about astrology, his hand met with another as he was about to grab a book with a blue and gold frame.
he looked up, and the eyes that met with his were yellow, more like a fluorescent yellow, hinata had thought.
“i’m sorry. you can have it.” the boy smiled as he brushed his bangs back.
hinata felt like he was glowing, just as bright as the star he talked to years ago.
“we can share, if you want? my name is hinata, and you are?”
“my name is kenma.”
the boy smiled and laughed, and hinata knew deep down, he found his star again.
