NPVs are Hard!

I think with the long weekend I’m going to attempt to bring Clayton into Valeska’s save again. I ran into an issue with his original cyberware being named the same in the game files as freckles, and couldn’t find or understand how to resolve that issue whilst working in Blender, much less Wolven Kit as I’m a complete newbie. I’m grateful to the video series showing how to make an NPV as I’m a visual learner. But trying to figure out how to resolve it, getting nowhere, led me to remove his cyberware for the better. So I’ll be trying again now that I know that hurdle is not there. And hopefully - hopefully 🤞- get him into a state I can start shooting them together because I so very much want slap my Barbies together for purely innocent reasons. ☺️

If only the ability to pull and save V directly in game was possible in the same way a player can do so (and share!) their Warriors of Light in FFXIV. It’s insanely easy in that game! If I could, I’d easily make him an AMM NPC but I don’t think you can with going the NPV route. Otherwise, I’ll look at at someone doing it for me because the process feels very big brain for my smol brain.

i either know how a fic will end immediately but have no idea what happens in the middle, or the beginning and middle are so easy to write that i feel like god but then i stall out on the end for four weeks while experiencing profound despair, either/or, no middle ground

me: i’ma write a 2k oneshot where chirrut finds a lightsaber! me, the next day: i’ve just hit 3,700 words and am not even halfway done and baze is letting himself be gently befriended by jyn because when they finally, after eadu, have time to grieve, chirrut can barely hold himself together and it hurts so much more than baze thought it would, to see chirrut grieve like this again, and also chirrut found a lightsaber

love when people try to give you advice bc it worked for them but you know it won't for you so you have to just act grateful and pretend it doesn't make you feel even more isolated than before
