We have a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake in our wall! Turn on the volume to hear it rattling at us from the house side of the wall. And then turn to the second picture to see the snake from the other side of the wall. 😨 . . . . Both of these images - the video and the photo - are zoomed in. I was standing far enough away to hopefully outrun it safely. 😨 . . . . For the rattle video, the snake is behind the grate you can see. Unfortunately, the next hole in the wall to the right is missing the bottom half of its grate. But I have a bit of wire fencing on top of the ground outside of this hole. (See third picture.) 😨. . . . That fencing is there because Max was determined to dig a hole so big that nothing could hide from him. The rake is (still) there because Max sometimes attempts to dig out something outside of the fencing's area, but still in that corner of our near backyard. 😣 . . . . No Max in this post, unless you have the volume on when the video plays. If you do, you'll be able to hear him whine-barking at Mommy and Grandma to "GET BACK IN HERE WITH ME, WHERE IT'S SAFE" from where he was standing just inside the house, at the door to the near backyard. 😍❤ . . . . And if you're wondering why I call it our "near" backyard, that's because all of the visible land (and some even behind what's visible) beyond the wall, when looking from the house, is our wild backyard. 😀 . . . . But beware, because THERE BE RATTLESNAKES BACK THERE. 😨 . . . . #DogsofInstagram #WhiningDog #ArizonaFauna #WesternDiamondbackRattlesnake !!! #BookstagramBreak
