sleeping over (hank x reader)
The first time you slept over, you wanted to stay in the living room, but Hank wanted to be a gentleman and gave you his bed while he slept on the couch. But the moment he heard your muffled cries, he sprinted back to you, heart sinking as he sees you trembling under the sheets. Quietly, as to not disturb you, Hank slips back into bed.
He wraps his arms around you and pulls you closer to him. The softest kisses are planted on the top of your head as he hums the first song you’ve danced to. You jolt awake, breathing uneven. You can feel his breath as he buries his face between your neck and shoulder.
“Shhhh, it’s okay. I got you.”
As he presses more kisses on your shoulder, you nod, feeling your heartbeat slow to a normal rhythm.
“Please, please stay.”
Hank knew the dream was horrible, because he hadn’t heard you speak so softly, so anxious.
“I’m here, honey. C’mon, let’s go to sleep.”
“Okay.”
His arm wraps around you, resting it on your stomach. As you drift off to sleep, Hank is still humming.
