Ice White Coffee
SureShot on the Ave
At the moment my favorite coffee shop to study off campus is Sureshot in the University District. A little on the hole-in-the wall side, from the outside this place may not look like the most appealing place to go, but once inside, you will find a wall lined with big, overstuffed, comfortable leather chairs and big tables perfect for spreading out those many textbooks.
Not only do they serve the normal delicious coffee drinks, but they also offer white coffee, which is roasted in a way to retain more of the caffeine than a regular cup of coffee without being as harsh on the stomach, perfect for a college student staying up late cramming for exams.
There’s also a mini arcade in the room adjacent, which is perfect for a fun study break or hanging out with friends. Despite the chill atmosphere, graffiti art covered bathroom walls, free Wi-Fi, delicious pastries and deserts, open late, and being located in the U-District, this coffee shop is surprisingly not over crowded with UW students, which is always nice! ~Lena
