Literature Class

As Cleo starts her first day of her  Literature class, she enters a room much different from most of the other class rooms on campus.  The room was reminiscent of a hunting lodge, with numerous animal heads adoring the walls, and what seems to be  after  a large hairy clawed arm displayed as trophy on what seems to be the professors desk.  Next to the chalkboard there is a roaring fireplace, and in front of it  there is what can only be described as the largest bear pelt anyone had ever seen.

Cleo takes her customary seat at the front of the class.  Soon after this a man, who could only be the professor, enters the room.  This individual looks as if he could be nine feet tall, and as if his shoulders were wider than most doorways.  On his face are a pair of silver wire frame glasses, and a finely trimmed beard of gold and grey hair.  

He walks up to the board and writes "Hero".  I am Burnard Wolfenstein, and how does one define that word? Then he points to Cleo

The Setting

As the new millennium began, the titans escaped from their prison.  Because of this event, the gods must attempt to unite against their age old foes.  The story itself begins in the year 2023, a little over two decades since the titan's emergence  into the modern world.  The deities are losing, and can barely mange to protect mankind from discovering the full scope of the world around.  To help combat the power of the titans, all of the pantheons agree to a two pronged plan.  The first prong was  that they would put into effect wartime rules regarding visitations/ awakenings, meaning that the cap placed on the number of active scions each deity can have active at any time is remove.  The second prong was to establish a world wide academy system to train these newly empowered children for their roles in this chaotic world.  These academies are each run by demi-gods who proved themselves earlier in the war.  Now it is up to all of the scions of each academy to set aside personal goals to return the titans to their prison, but can this be achieved or has  the war already been lost.

My Scion Universe

Scion is a table top role-playing game published by White Wolf.  The game is set in a world where ancient myth and modern day collide.  In my story I combine this with white wolfs other supernatural table tops creating a multi-layered  role-play experience. My player character  are the children of the gods, trying to survive in this crazy world of political intrigue and sacrifice.  

Here are a few of the party members.

Cleo Mubarak,the sheltered daughter of Thoth, she has most of her youth buried in her studies. Because of this, her intellect far surpasses most mortals already, but her real world experience is severely lacking.    With the awakening of her powers she must try to find a way to fight the titans with her mind, and hopefully survive log enough to learn the meaning of true knowledge.

Dwayne Masters, son of Loki, grew up in a poor one parent household in Las Vegas Nevada.  Because of his family's financial struggle he learn to use both his academic education, and his street smarts to survive.  When he was informed of his fathers identity, he quickly discovered that all of Loki's children are hunted by both sides.  They cite Loki's trickster nature as the reasons for this practice.  Dwayne must traverse the battlefields of this ancient war, and hope the skills that got this far can keep him one step ahead of everyone.

Sophia Smith, the strong willed and justice minded scion of Athena.  Sophia's  mental and physical prowess is why she was forcefully drafted by the gods to join this fight.  Now that she is aware of who her mother is, she must use this war to find her adopted family.
