Oh, she just couldn’t help herself.
To finally be able to come and visit Seireitei ( even after everything’s been destroyed ) was something the royal guard anxiously looked towards. But of course, there job was to make their grand entrance among soul society’s beloved captains and to obtain those required to come. The way Kirio does it is just slightly different. She will play by her own rules, but at the same time, she won’t break the soul king’s direct commands. And with the key to the palace embedded in her bones, she can come and go as she pleases. It was ideal to come and go with the rest of them, but oh, she just couldn’t help herself.
As she roamed the familiar roads of Seireitei, she noticed a figure seated among the rubble of what was once part of the sixth division barracks. She walked towards her and sat down right beside the other, who seemed to be too immersed within her own thoughts to notice.
“How about easing your mind with a little snack?”
"What are you doing in my room?" //if you want??
Send me “What are you doing in my room?”, and I’LL GENERATE A NUMBER between 1 and 25 for what my muse will say to yours.
“They caught us. We have to get out of town, now.”

The Eleventh Division, for all Renji knows, had been devoid of functioning offices for as long as anyone can remember. It was a unique kind of ecosystem in that way. Zhe can’t recall doing a single piece of paperwork there.
The box on zher hip is mostly full of air. A few pens, all brand new, clutter the bottom. The lieutenant’s badge zhe had received from zher predecessor is also inside.
This is Renji’s first real office, and zhe gets to share it with the man zhe’s been plotting to defeat. It’s only suitable that entering this room feels like waltzing into a lion’s cage. Zher new captain isn’t here at the moment. Which is grand, because it gives Renji some time to think about how zhe’s going to stomach being around him all day.
Renji will have you know zhe hasn’t been avoiding the rest of the squad. Zhe simply has not gone to great lengths to meet them yet. It’s smart to let the initial shock wear off, Renji thinks. Sixth seat to lieutenant is a big jump. How is a hard-headed brute from the Eleventh going to help lead a division upholding the sanctity of tradition and law? Renji doesn’t know the answer any more than anyone else does.
Zhe senses a presence on the other side of the office door. Not zher captain, but someone else. Renji’s not sure if zhe should be more nervous or relieved.
“Hello? You can come in.” Renji’s accent is carefully tethered not to let any of the Rukongai South slip through.
Meta meme: Kaien's death. Did Juushiro regret allowing him to fight alone?
The memory of Kaien's death hauntsUkitake to the present day. He has reoccurring nightmares about thatnight in the forest – and much like Rukia, he scrutinizes hisactions and thinks of what he could have done differently.
If he could have a redo, he would havetaken on the hollow himself. He also wouldn't have brought Rukiaalong. She was young and while Ukitake knew her fighting skills weregood, she was still mentally inexperienced. He still has intenseguilt over the event that scarred Rukia. He feels like he let downthe whole division with his decisions that night.
Ukitake was a family friend of theShibas. After he explained to Kukaku what happened to her brother,Ukitake couldn't face her until the aftermath of Rukia's attemptedexecution. When he saw Ganju lying injured on the bridge, he nearlyhad a breakdown at the thought of another Shiba dying.
It's been a long grieving process, andhe's still not completely over it.
