So I painted this piece "The Prophecy of the 8th Fire" back in 2010, based on what an Algonquin elder friend had told me about it. He said each fire represented an era and that we where at the 7th fire, where the condor (South American natives) and the eagle (North American natives) where meeting/uniting. The 8th fire was the time where humanity would decide if we either let the earth clean us out (top left) or the rainbow people (of all races) will unite to bring peace and harmony back to our planet (top right), lead by the "white buffalo" (native people reincarnated into white people). So while I was at the @globaleclipsegathering in Oregon, I was shocked to learn that the 8th fire had been ignited at Standing Rock and that it had been brought to the fire pit of the First Nation's camp of the festival. I had actually already meditated a couple of times around that little fire and was surprised by the deep grounding vibe I was getting there. Little did I know it was a symbol for a new era, that had also begun with this powerful eclipse! Later that day, along @amandasageart n @themetanoist we went over to that fire circle to paint, and let the vibes of that fire bless our pieces. As I stood in front of the fire one last time I laughed so much in joy, with a feeling of optimism for humanity, something I was loosing lately. I felt the positive light of this fire was about to spread into the world and heal our situation. I can never truly know if any of this is true, but I'd like to believe us rainbow people will rescue our dear earth at the end of the day. Let's make this myth a reality! #hope #optimism #8thfire #prophecy #prophecyofthe8thfire #native #raibowpeople #whitebuffalo #positivelight (at Portland, Oregon)
