Branching off of my essay
In my essay I talked about the representation of Latinas being specifically overly sexualized and seductive in personality, but this blog is for touching on the representation of not only the sexual aspect in my essay, but also the representation of Latinas as only a light brown skinned, dark and smooth haired, busty women. Because the reality is, Latinas are of every race and ethnicity. We’re such a broad spectrum of body types, hair types, races, and skin tones that to have such a very specific, stereotypical idea of what a Latina is, when we’re not all just one thing. We have being Latina to unite us, but we’re so different that it’s pretty impossible to put us into the box that the media’s stereotypes have created.

Before i say this let me catch you up. My mom is full Colombian and my dad is french. This combination gives me a very pale completion however im still VERY Colombian. Just cause i look very white does not mean i suddenly lose my hispanic culture.
