Isn’t this white Nigella damascena (Love-in-a-Mist) that has already partly gone to seed incredibly beautiful? I like the delicate white blooms of this plant and the bright green lacy foliage very much and think it would be lovely in little informal cottage garden style type bouquets. I took this photo probably in June in a private garden in England a few years ago but somehow I find it fitting for late summer/beginning of autumn. Maybe because of the pretty brown seed pods. Does anybody know if it makes any sense to sow seeds of this lovely plant now in Southern California and hopefully get blooms in late autumn or winter? I bought a seed package this spring but, in a for me typical manner, never got around to sow them! Any of your input is greatly appreciated! Wishing you all a lovely weekend! #nigella #whitenigella #white #flower #bloom #whiteflower #nigelladamascena #whitebloom #cutflowers #organicgardendreams #cottagegarden #cottagegardenstyle #cottagegardenstylebouquet #cutflowers (at San Diego, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnfFLbEF5RL/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=zlngza1kspvx
