Oh I can answer this one!

100% dgalerab, and he's been my favourite fanfiction author for like 3 years now I'm fairly sure (since I discovered him, basically). (Shout out specifically to the 'Love' series in the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom, and the 'Predicament Bondage' fic in the IT fandom, which I'm not even IN, and I don't even know who the characters ARE and it 100% did. not. matter.)

And then whitesheep for all things pornographic. If you want a fine pornography purveyor for monsterfucking, incest, noncon, age gap (including underage) and a great deal more, they are who you want to be reading. Fucking amazing. Reminds me of the old days of being in the Thorki fandom, but with far more filth. Shout out to the Leonardo series.

Family Trauma

No one intended to drive a wedge between my cousin and I. Growing up, we were and still are very similar. We were also very unique. We were pawns in a contrast / comparison game which primed us to do that on our own. We inevitably competed with each other. Today we were able to acknowledge out loud to each other how much that hurt us. I'm really proud of her.

What also took place in the convo was much deeper. My family not only compared... still compares us, but they made her to be the black sheep and me to be the white one. Every time she would reach towards a goal of hers, she was shut down and deemed a failure before she even began because nothing was expected from her. In contrast, the things I achieved were never good enough since more was expected from me. I constantly reached higher and was unable to feel any sense of accomplishment no matter what I achieved.

I was able to share my personal growth with her and help bring awareness to her self. I always hated being compared and held in a higher light. They were unable to see me for who I am. That hasn't changed, but my perspective on it has.

After she left, I realized that I have been given the gift of healing in a lot of places that my family hasn't healed in yet. A lot of the trauma her and I went through was generational trauma, meaning our parents groomed us for their bad habits - even in things they tried to protect us from. They all look up to me and now instead of feeling angry at it, I want to own that leadership. I want to lead my family into the same healing that I continue to recieve.
