I feel you. It's pretty but it's starting to get stale for me too.

I almost wish it wasn't so pretty, because yeah. If only there was some way to do it without whitewashing. I've spent more time than I care to admit trying to make that happen, lol. But I guess by definition, when you're pulling pigment out you're going to end up with something that's whitewashed.

Pale/pastel gifsets are pretty but tbh I can't wait for this fad to be over. I'm so tired of seeing characters of colors whitewashed or set to black and white for the sake of these pale gifsets. I've been going through the htgawmedit tag and like a full 30% of them are pale sets, basically all of which whitewash Wes/Alfie, one to the point where it took me a minute to figure out that it was him and not that white douchebro character.

I even saw a few that whitewashed Annalise/Viola, though most set her to b&w.

And it happens all the time with Bonnie and characters of color on other shows too. Just ugh. I don't feel like it's intentional generally, I just wish it would stop.
