Missile pods came in a few weeks ago. Painted the missiles with some leftover red from Kat’s Murasame Liger. With those in hand, Skye’s Whitz Wolf is finished. I am incredibly happy with how this guy came out.

I’ve gone with Garm for the name of Skye’s Houndsoldier, and Fenrir for the Whitz. Sure, Fenrir is used for like, fifty billion different wolf Zoids, but I liked it better than my other choice, which was Amarok. Besides, it worked out thematically, since Garm’s howls supposedly signaled the coming of Ragnarok, and Fenrir breaking loose started it, just as the Hound will pave the way for the Whitz.

The last pic I just had to try and photoshop, because a howling wolf needs its moon(s).

I have the prologue of the fic done and up on AO3, I just need to finish Chapter 1.

Two days of work, and I finally have finished making my Whitz Wolf poseable using Auroralion’s tutorial. It was a lot easier than I anticipated. He also got a clear coat before final reassembly.

The last touch I plan to add in the near future will come next paycheck. I’m gonna get two of the Koto Modeling Support Goods Missile Pods (though I won’t use the Radomes) and mount them to the hips.

Another idea I’m toying with is, since the body cavity is now hollow and is easily accessible by the battery hatch, I might actually finally post on Phenotype and try to see if I can get a spare HMM Zoid core and rig it up in there.

Super happy with how this guy has turned out, though I wish the Whitz lent itself to making poseable elbows and knees, but beggars can’t be choosers.

The park district’s playground has this really cool mini faux rock formation for the kids to climb on, which I might take him there for pics, because it would be amazing to get pics with him there, especially the howling pose. Maybe once Chicagoland is done getting hammered by thunderstorms, I can go there on Monday.

Skye’s Whitz is done, Murasame arrived, and I started its transformation into Kat’s Liger, Dakota. Stormbringer will be assembled shortly!

I painted the Mura’s claws and teeth, but I think the claws need another coat.

I have another coat of red to go on the parts of the Mura where both sides will be at least partly showing, but it decided to thunderstorm this afternoon.

@sir-phobos-boa was right, primer was a good investment, it has helped in the Mura.

I used Tamiya Racing Green for the Whitz’s armor, Tamiya Chrome Silver on both the Whitz’s bluish grey parts and on the Liger’s claws and teeth, and Testors Gloss Dark Red on the Mura’s armor.

Someday, I intend to use @auroralion’s tutorial on posey Zoids to make Mura and Whitz poseable. I found my grandfather’s barely used dremmel and wanna get comfortable with it.

Due to the fragility of some of Ryuki’s parts, though, I don’t think I’ll make that attempt on him.

Will also be finishing the paint on Murder Shrimp and be doing the final assembly when I get another nice day.

Dakota is done! Except for the clear coat coming in tomorrow. I had to seal the cockpit because the hinge would not stay together and it was still loose after I glued it. Koto would probably design one that fit better >.>

HMM Mura, get on it, Koto.

I feel like they should be forming Voltron or a Megazord

Went to the local park that has this really cool fake rock formation for the kids to climb around and play on. Perfect for Zoids pics. While my Whitz Wolf is still awaiting its missile pods, I'm impressed with my work in making it poseable, especially for my first time. He's proven to be quite photogenic, and I can't wait until he's finished.

Old Zoids photos #7: Whitz Tiger Imitate. Or rather, the cheesy Whitz...Weiß...Wthingy Wolf from them. I'm not sure why I didn't get any pics of Savinga. Sorry, Savinga :(. I leave the Tiger feet on my Wthingy wolves. It makes them look puppyish with big cute feet, rather than the too-small feet underneath plus the silly tiger paws up on the shoulders. I really like its design overall, it's just a little clunky thanks to the fusing gimmick...and has perhaps the most ridiculous shock cannon placement ever on a quadruped Zoid. Wolf, you will shoot off your chin if you use that. I think there was some kind of reference/reason I took a pic of it with the black/dark teal Leoblaze from SA Lizards, but it is lost to time.
