Just Watched Hawking Again with The Family
GOD. I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
I love science! I wish I could do science! I can't do science y'all.
I don't mean to sound pompous when I say this, but...
I am good at many things - many, many things. I'm a skilled writer, a decent musician, fairly good with math, fairly good with logic, decently intelligent, graced with an eye for aesthetics, and somewhat good at chemistry and biology.
However, I don't understand physics. I love physics. I love theoretical physics especially. I think physics and physicists are absolutely and utterly incredible. I simply don't have the mental capacity required to apply myself to the study. So watching this movie always fills me with awe. I have such admiration for Hawking. I have such admiration for Penrose. The fact that they were able to predict the parameters of black holes and the beginning of the universe before we even knew they existed? It's remarkable. Beautiful.
Okay. Sorry. Nerd rant over.
My parents really liked the movie.
Even if my Dad did keep telling me Benedict Cumberbatch looked like an alien.
