Recap: WHO DECIDES WAR Autumn/Winter 2020 Collection Runway Show In Paris
WHO DECIDES WAR presented its second collection during Paris Fashion Week: Men’s on January 16, 2020. The Autumn/Winter 2020 collection titled “Notes on Sacrifice” was designed under the creative direction of Ev Bravado, where the show was live streamed by artist-owned music and entertainment platform TIDAL.
Following the first collection that debuted in June of last year, "Notes on Sacrifice" aims to tell a story of redemption through giving up one's personal desires and following the selfless ways of Christ. With the idea of Christ’s army at the center, Ev focused on merging medieval, earthy, and futuristic cues.
Keeping an emphasis on structure and an organic flow to garments and styling, “Notes on Sacrifice” features aggressive cuts and bohemian-esque imagery and motifs. Used as atmospheric art pieces, metal specially sourced from Hungary wrapped around columns down the runway. Key pieces include a three layer padded jacket made from hand-dyed recycled army duffel bags, as well as a full Paradise printed leather trench coat with cut-out cross appliqué detailing. Further stand out fabrics used throughout the collection include custom fabricated denim, custom knitwear, lace, chiffon, wool, and nylon. Looks were paired with Puma sneakers, worn down the runway by the likes of Yung Banz, Bloody Dior, AK the Savior, and model Braxton Caudill.
Notable front row faces at the WHO DECIDES WAR Autumn/Winter 2020 runway show include Tyga, Aleali, Jerry Lorenzo, Kerby Jean-Raymond, Adam Bartoshesky, Killy, MadeinTYO, and more.
